# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Orthopedics & Spine – Kansas Start Date: August 10, 2026
Location: Kansas

Schedule: Day shift 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM or Night shift 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM; Rotate every 3rd weekend (occasionally every other); 48 hours guaranteed per week option available Highlights:

• 36-bed orthopedics and spine specialty unit with all private rooms in a busy Level 2 trauma center
• Patient ratio 5-6:1 with comprehensive support staff including charge nurse, PCTs, and unit clerk on each shift
• Advanced mobile communication technology (iMobile platform) for seamless team collaboration and patient care coordination
• Fast-paced environment specializing in orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions including stroke and head injuries, and trauma care
• Equipment includes traction, external fixators, halos, continuous pulse oximetry, and remote telemetry monitoring
• EMR: Meditech

Requirements:

• Active Kansas RN license
• BLS certification required
• Acute care hospital experience on Med/Surg or Telemetry units required
• NIH certification preferred
• Experience with wound care and dressing changes
