Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and treatment needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, integrating evidence-based approaches tailored for each patient.

• Utilize proven therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate patient progress by providing crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective response.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care plans for patients.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping strategies, fostering a deeper understanding of available resources and support systems.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, adhering to legal standards and ethical guidelines.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement in trauma-informed care.

• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, incorporating new knowledge into your clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work closely with diverse individuals affected by varying degrees of trauma, from childhood experiences to recent crises. Each patient presents unique challenges and needs, necessitating a tailored approach to therapy that empowers them in their healing journey. You will play a critical role in helping clients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and cultivate resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly with trauma-focused therapies.

• Deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment strategies.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a non-judgmental and empathetic approach in clinical settings.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations while providing effective patient care.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in related software applications.

• Capability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
